What are the opening hours of the OBL?

How do I get there?
If you’re coming via the tube we’re about 10 minutes from both Old Street and Liverpool Street stations and about five minutes from Shoreditch High Street station. We’re at 38 Great Eastern Street, where it crosses Curtain Road. See a map.
Is it possible to use the OBL for events outside of these hours?
Let us know what you have planned and we’ll see what we can do. It can be used for events that don’t involve drinking or regulated entertainment – eg meetings and filming. In addition we can apply for up to 12 temporary event notices per year where we can extend hours.
What equipment can the OBL provide?
We have a fleet of Technics turntables, CD decks and CDJs. If you are DJing you’ll need to bring your own headphones. If you’re fussy about your vinyl you might want to bring your own needles. In the live room upstairs we provide PA, lights and generally enough mics, leads, stands and DI boxes to meet most requirements. See our tech spec for further info. Bands need to bring their own backline, and because the stage is pretty small it makes life easier for bands if they share as much kit as possible.
Where can I park to load into the OBL, and at what times?
Load in is easiest from New Inn Yard, which is just off Curtain Road. There are a few free parking spaces dotted about in the evenings, plus various car parks very nearby.
Does the OBL have a backstage area?
Yes. It even has a fridge so you can keep your beers cold.
My band would like to play at the OBL, who do I speak to?
Reach our A+ booking team via this email. They do listen to everything that’s sent in but due to the amount of stuff they’re sent, they can’t respond to every email, although they wish they could. A fair chunk of the events that take place at The Old Blue Last are put on by external promoters, so you may want to check through our events listings and get in touch with those guys too.
I am a promoter and I want to put on a night, how do I go about this?
Please put your idea down in an email, including what you intend to do, links to anything you have done in the past, list any plans for promotion, include when you’re looking to put something on plus anything else to help your pitch and send it here.
Can we use our own sound engineer?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own sound engineer. We do have a great team of engineers who will happily make you sound great or will gladly help your engineer work their magic.
Can I reserve the back-room in the downstairs bar?
Yes, drop us a line here and we’ll get back to you with details. The back-room can hold around 20-30 people.
Can I hire The Flat upstairs?
Yes, drop us a line here and we’ll get back to you with details. The Flat can hold about 60 people.
How old do I need to be to get in?
We operate a challenge 25 policy where anyone who looks under 25 will have to produce ID to prove that they are over 18.
