My Sad Captains are an alternative indie band from London, whose second album ‘Fight Less, Win More’ was released in November 2011 on Stolen Recordings (Pete & The Pirates, Bo Ningen). Their debut ‘Here & Elsewhere’ was released in 2009, also on Stolen Recordings; they had previously released two 7” singles – ‘Bad Decisions’, on Fortuna Pop! and ‘All Hat and No Plans / Great Expectations’, on White Heat.
Over the past few years, the band have performed at SXSW, End of the Road, the Bella Union stage at Hard Rock Calling and The Great Escape amongst others.
Their name comes from a poem by the Anglo-American poet Thom Gunn.
